Hi! I'm currently a postdoc in Dr. Edna Cukierman's laboratory at the Fox Chase Cancer Center. There, my project focuses on understand the signaling that arises from cell-cell interactions in the pancreatic tumor microenvironment.
Outside of research, I love teaching, mentoring, and science communication. To that end, I'm involved with the Teen Research Internship Program (TRIP) Initiative through Fox Chase, have been a program organizer for the Communicating Science Conference (ComSciCon), and create science comics to increase science exposure, access, and literacy through JKX Comics, which I co-founded in 2015.
For fun, I enjoy playing frisbee, running, reading (non-fiction fantasy novels or comics), making puns, and doing any craft involving yarn. Feel free to ask me about any of these endeavors!
