About Me
Hi! I'm currently a postdoc in Dr. Edna Cukierman's laboratory at the Fox Chase Cancer Center. There, my project focuses on understanding the signaling that arises from cell-cell interactions in the pancreatic tumor microenvironment.
Outside of research, I love teaching, mentoring, science communication, and fostering inclusive spaces in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics). To that end, I have been an instructor in the Teen Research Internship Program (TRIP) Initiative through Fox Chase, was a program organizer and part of the Leadership Team for the Communicating Science Conference (ComSciCon), and create science comics to increase science exposure, access, and literacy through JKX Comics, a group I co-founded in 2015. For fun, I enjoy playing frisbee, running, reading (non-fiction fantasy novels or comics), making puns, doing any craft involving yarn, and playing with my bunny Beatrice. Feel free to ask me about any of these endeavors! Twitter | @jayeperview Instagram | @jayeperview (art) @ajayeinthelife (personal) |
